About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain high-performance systems for the serverless platform. You will work on distributed object storage, caching, preloading, peer-to-peer data sharing, replication, and garbage collection at petabyte scale. You will help reduce cold-start latency, manage durability and cost, participate in on-call rotation, and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code
- Experience building high-performance distributed storage or caching systems at large scale
- Deep familiarity with cloud object storage, CDNs, and their consistency, throughput, and cost characteristics
- Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, file systems, page cache, and containers
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance serverless-platform systems
- Build distributed object storage, caching, preloading, and peer-to-peer data-sharing layers
- Reduce object-store latency and public-ingress load
- Own storage durability and cost at petabyte scale
- Implement streaming and batch replication between origins
- Build garbage collection for billions of objects
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
