About the Role
You will design, build, and operate mission-critical APIs. You will optimize latency and throughput, strengthen security and reliability across compute environments, collaborate on new API capabilities, and uphold engineering quality through design reviews, code quality, and internal documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python, Go, or Rust.
- Understanding of high-traffic API design, including schema evolution, versioning, idempotency, authentication, rate limiting, and performance tuning.
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
- Fluency with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate mission-critical APIs.
- Optimize upstream systems for low latency and high throughput.
- Develop architectures for future and current customer workloads.
- Harden system security and reliability across heterogeneous compute environments.
- Collaborate across teams to improve API Platform capabilities.
- Uphold engineering excellence through design reviews, code quality, and internal documentation.
