About the Role

You will act as a deputy to the MLRO and serve as a key liaison officer with MAS and other regulatory bodies in Singapore. You'll develop and implement AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls aligned with MAS Notices and enterprise-wide standards, while staying on top of regulatory changes and adapting compliance programs accordingly. You'll ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports covering PSA obligations, AML/CFT, FATCA, CRS, and tax filings, and you'll collaborate with global compliance, product, and engineering teams to embed compliance into the product life-cycle. You'll prepare and present compliance reports to the Board and Risk Management Committee, provide daily support on sanctions, KYC, and transaction and blockchain alert resolutions, and coordinate internal and external audits including document production and inquiry responses. This role calls for someone who can hit the ground running, thrives in a fast-paced crypto and payments environment, and enjoys building scalable, tech-forward compliance processes.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years in compliance operations with exposure to regulatory compliance in Singapore and the broader APAC region
  • Tech-forward mindset with ability to leverage automation and case management tools to manage high volume and recurring deadlines
  • Scalable thinking with an analytical mind able to simplify complex procedures
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving ensuring regulatory requirements support business growth

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a deputy to the MLRO and key liaison officer with MAS and other regulatory bodies
  • Develop and implement AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls in line with MAS Notices and enterprise-wide standards
  • Develop and apply technical expertise of regulatory, industry and emerging trends in compliance
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively adapt compliance programs to meet new requirements
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports to MAS, ACRA, IRAS including PSA, AML/CFT, FATCA, CRS and tax filings
  • Collaborate with global compliance, product and engineering teams on digital asset compliance
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the Board of Directors and Risk Management Committee and seek approval for new policies and procedures
  • Provide daily support for sanctions, KYC, transaction and blockchain alert resolutions and escalations
  • Coordinate internal and external audits including document production, inquiry responses and implementation of action plans
  • Adhere to and uplift standardised workflows for compliance processes
  • Utilise global tools and AI-guided knowledge bases to create streamlined compliance and regulatory procedures
