About the Role

You will independently maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, chillers, hydraulic equipment, and gas and utility systems. You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance activities, document equipment work, ensure safety compliance, coach junior technicians, and support commissioning and reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • Trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Expertise in pumps, motors, pneumatics, chiller systems, and hydraulics
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex mechanical failures
  • Proficiency with precision measurement instruments, laser alignment tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals
  • Knowledge of LOTO/LOTO-Plus, confined-space entry, permit-to-work systems, and regulatory standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors
  • U.S. Person status and eligibility for required export authorizations

Responsibilities

  • Couple, align, commission, rebuild, and repair pumps and motors
  • Diagnose complex pump, motor, hydraulic, pneumatic, chiller, gas, and utility system failures
  • Lead preventive maintenance planning and refine maintenance procedures
  • Perform precision alignment, belt-drive maintenance, fluid sampling, and equipment inspections
  • Lead pneumatic-system repairs and recommend system improvements
  • Oversee chiller performance, analyze operational data, and coordinate complex vendor repairs
  • Develop gas-system operating procedures, conduct utility audits, and drive corrective actions
  • Mentor Mechanical Technician I personnel
  • Lead root-cause analyses and present corrective-action plans
  • Support equipment optimization, reliability audits, predictive maintenance, commissioning, and startups
  • Maintain CMMS records and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals
  • Comply with OSHA, LOTO/LOTO-Plus, permit-to-work, and plant safety requirements
