About the Role
You will lead and perform operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across plant mechanical, process, and electrical systems. You will coordinate work and outages, mentor technicians, conduct safe switching and isolation, respond to equipment failures, maintain CMMS records, and support plant commissioning and restoration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of experience maintaining power generation or high-reliability industrial systems
- Experience providing technical direction, on-the-job training, or crew-lead support to technicians
- Willingness to perform hands-on work in all environments, tight quarters, and at heights
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and rotating or on-call schedules
- Ability to remain focused in hazardous environments while wearing PPE
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to work on-site at the power generation facility
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Lead operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across plant mechanical, process, and electrical systems
- Serve as the working technical lead on assigned jobs, shifts, and outages
- Mentor technicians through on-the-job training, technical guidance, and quality checks
- Execute and support switching, isolation, LOTO, start-up, shutdown, breaker racking, and restoration
- Troubleshoot cross-discipline plant issues and implement corrective actions
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Respond to alarms, trips, and equipment failures
- Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, commissioning, and outages
- Install, maintain, and restore plant equipment
- Maintain work orders and records in the CMMS
- Enforce safety requirements and stop unsafe work
- Coordinate clearances, switching, and generation-affecting work with relevant personnel
