About the Role
You will support daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at a power-generation facility. You will inspect equipment, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls issues, maintain safety procedures and spare parts, support outages and commissioning, and coordinate restoration of critical plant equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician or operator working with industrial mechanical, electrical, or control systems
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed
- Ability to work in heat, cold, and rain while wearing PPE
- Ability to follow site safety procedures in hazardous environments
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and maintenance support for plant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems
- Perform daily inspections of critical systems and report issues before they affect generation
- Troubleshoot and repair operational issues during plant operation, start-up, outages, and commissioning
- Adjust, repair, or replace faulty mechanical, electrical, and controls components
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related industrial controls
- Support HMI monitoring and maintain automated fire-protection and emergency-shutdown controls
- Write, follow, and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
- Support lockout/tagout, hot work, confined-space, safety, and environmental requirements
- Maintain spare-parts inventory
- Coordinate scheduled system shutdowns, outages, and utility events
- Support commissioning, functional testing, and construction turnover
- Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, manuals, drawings, and equipment documentation
- Coordinate equipment restoration with operations, maintenance, and engineering
