About the Role
You will support mechanical design and thermal validation for AI hardware. You will model parts and assemblies, develop laboratory test procedures, set up equipment, collect and analyse test data, evaluate prototypes, troubleshoot issues, document findings, and follow laboratory and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral programme in mechanical engineering or a related discipline during the internship
- Have foundational knowledge of mechanical design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, materials, manufacturing, or related engineering principles
- Approach technical problems analytically
- Document work accurately, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively
- Be willing to learn unfamiliar tools, systems, and laboratory methods
Responsibilities
- Contribute to mechanical design using 3D CAD software
- Develop thermal test procedures and laboratory capabilities
- Set up laboratory equipment and support thermal and mechanical testing
- Collect, organise, and analyse test data
- Assist with prototype evaluation, troubleshooting, design verification, and documentation
- Communicate progress and issues and follow laboratory safety procedures
