About the Role
You will design, assemble, test, and integrate sensors, compute modules, and actuation systems. You will convert software requirements into hardware specifications, support prototype and production builds, manage suppliers, resolve technical issues, and present mechanical solutions.
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering degree or similar field
- SolidWorks proficiency
- Technical drawing and tolerancing experience
- Finite Element Analysis knowledge
- PLM and document revision-control experience
- Mechanical design testing and qualification for road vehicles
- Manufacturing process design experience
- Hardware development ownership from prototype to production
Responsibilities
- Design, assemble, test, and integrate mechanical systems
- Convert perception, planning, and control requirements into hardware specifications
- Design for automotive and environmental requirements
- Support prototype and production module builds
- Manage supplier and external-partner relationships
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Present mechanical solutions to cross-functional teams
