About the Role
You will design and build prototype robot components and integration and test equipment. You will develop actuator test dynos, produce accurate 2D drawings with GD&T, document design processes, and conduct hands-on testing with mechanical engineering and systems integration teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a similar field
- Experience using 3D CAD software to design parts with complex geometry
- Experience designing and building prototypes
- Ability to write and maintain clean documentation for design processes
Responsibilities
- Design and build prototype robot components to validate hardware under real-world loading and failure conditions
- Own prototype integration and test equipment from cradle to grave
- Develop dynos for actuator testing, validation, and integration
- Generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Collaborate on hands-on testing with mechanical engineering and systems integration teams
