About the Role
You will execute mechanical and thermal testing for AI hardware systems, operate laboratory and machine-shop equipment, support debugging and validation, maintain calibrated instruments, develop test procedures, analyze test data, assist with CAD activities, handle rack-mounted hardware, and maintain a safe laboratory environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related technical field preferred
- Equivalent education training or relevant experience may be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical laboratories machine shops test labs or similar environments
- Experience with server hardware platforms and data center equipment
- Knowledge of Direct Liquid Cooling systems in server environments
- Experience operating forklifts pallet jacks and material-handling equipment
- Understanding of thermal testing methodologies instrumentation and data collection
- Basic understanding of electrical systems electronics and computer hardware
- Strong troubleshooting root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Strong verbal written and graphical communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and execute plans
- Understanding of laboratory best practices
- Ability to safely lift move and handle data center equipment
Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical and thermal test plans
- Perform functional thermal and mechanical testing on server and data center hardware
- Support hardware testing debugging troubleshooting and validation
- Operate CNC milling machines drill presses and fabrication tools
- Maintain calibrated laboratory instruments and equipment
- Read and interpret drawings schematics specifications and test procedures
- Develop and document test procedures and methodologies
- Collect analyze and report test data
- Assist with CAD design modeling and analysis
- Install remove load unload and move rack-mounted servers and data center hardware
- Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment safely
- Maintain a safe organized and efficient laboratory environment
