About the Role
You will prepare, package, and improve shipping activities for manufactured products and parts. You will process shipping documents, coordinate loading, inspect inventory, tag materials, move materials with a pallet jack or forklift, complete quality records, document damages and shortages, and train new team members while following safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related role
- Forklift experience
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for a full workday
- Proficiency with ERP software such as Infor Visual or Acumatica
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Drug and alcohol program participation
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Responsibilities
- Follow the shipping schedule
- Prepare and process shipping invoices and packing slips
- Coordinate and perform loading of outgoing shipments
- Package materials to prevent damage
- Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory
- Tag materials with required information
- Move materials with a pallet jack or forklift
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Complete quality check sheets
- Photograph projects to create quality history
- Document damages, overages, and shortages
- Update the status board
- Provide staffing and hiring input
- Train new team members
- Follow safety policies and procedures
