About the Role

Act as a strategic legal advisor on market and derivatives transaction matters, including ISDAs, CSAs, trade confirmations, prime brokerage agreements, lending and vendor transactions, swap dealer rules, regulatory changes, documentation, outside counsel coordination, workflow management, special projects, and responsible adoption of AI tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience at a financial institution with additional experience at a top-tier law firm
  • Over 6 years of transactional experience reviewing financial transaction agreements, primarily ISDA, CSA, trade confirmation, and prime brokerage agreements
  • Product knowledge and transactional or regulatory experience within OTC derivatives and swap dealer businesses
  • Experience in traditional financial markets, preferably at a sell-side bank supporting derivative desks
  • Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts within the crypto space
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-starter who takes initiative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Active membership in the New York State Bar

Responsibilities

  • Advise on ISDAs and CSAs
  • Advise on swap dealer rules
  • Negotiate trade confirmations, prime brokerage, and lending documentation with counterparties
  • Coordinate negotiations and manage outside counsel engagement
  • Collaborate with functional partners to escalate and resolve issues
  • Implement global regulatory and market changes affecting trading and documentation
  • Draft and negotiate nondisclosure agreements
  • Manage workflow and maintain responsiveness, reliability, and accountability
  • Support special projects and assigned activities
  • Adopt and leverage AI tools to improve productivity and output quality
