About the Role
You will own marketing strategy for BTC Inc's full portfolio of live events, from the flagship Bitcoin Conference to the growing international series including Bitcoin Asia and Bitcoin MENA. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing and act as the strategic brain behind how the company attracts, converts, and retains the right audiences for every event produced. You will define strategy and hand it off with clarity to project management and content teams who execute it, though you'll also jump into execution alongside the lean team when needed. You will serve as the resident expert on the live events landscape, researching competitors, tracking activation trends, and sharpening the understanding of audiences and what moves them.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years in event marketing or a closely adjacent field, with real experience owning strategy for large-scale live events
- Ability to distinguish strategy from a plan and write strategy clearly enough for someone else to execute
- Fluency in performance data and using it to make strategic decisions in real time
- Experience with competitive and audience research
- Understanding of how IRL event experiences and digital marketing work together
- Proactive communication skills to surface risk and opportunity early
- Comfortable in a fully remote environment
- Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM
- Experience with Notion or a similar workflow management platform
- Experience using AI to work faster and smarter
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end marketing strategy for all BTC Inc live events including positioning, audience targeting, campaign architecture, channel mix, and messaging
- Write clear, delegable strategy briefs that give PM and content teams everything they need to execute
- Refine strategy on an ongoing basis based on live performance data
- Develop and maintain audience profiles across all events
- Conduct competitive research across the Bitcoin events space and adjacent industries
- Track IRL activation trends and how peer and aspirational brands market their live experiences
- Maintain a living, organized view of the event marketing landscape
- Partner closely with the Head of Events on audience segmentation, ticketing strategy, and campaign timing
- Coordinate with Growth Marketing, Content, and Social on campaign execution
- Align with sponsorship on event positioning and sponsor value story
