About the Role
You will receive hands-on training in manufacturing, testing, and quality control while supporting production activities. You will develop instructions, inspect products, investigate hardware failures, manage inventory, work with suppliers, document test results, and improve manufacturing and test processes.
Requirements
- Degree in electronics engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
- Interest in manufacturing, hardware, and engineering operations
- Ability to work hands-on with electrical, mechanical, and testing equipment
- Ability to use oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Current residence in Japan
- Full-time work authorization in Japan or eligibility to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility for full-time employment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a testing or laboratory environment
- PCB assembly or testing experience
- Experience troubleshooting hardware or electromechanical systems
- English work proficiency or Japanese work proficiency with English reading and writing skills
Responsibilities
- Develop operating instructions for production activities
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Investigate hardware failures in returned products
- Test and inspect finished products
- Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues
- Apply the 5S methodology and improve production systems
- Coordinate outsourced manufacturing processes and production plans
- Manage inventory of raw materials, finished products, and non-conforming products
- Support development of manual and automated manufacturing and test tools
- Support product validation and document test results
- Control laboratory inventory and maintain equipment

Hiring Process
Complete a 12-month trainee program with progress evaluations at 6 and 12 months; successful candidates transition to a permanent Operations Engineer role after the final evaluation.
