About the Role
You will lead manufacturing engineers across development and rate production. You will set technical direction for manufacturability and advanced manufacturing, guide process transitions to production, establish manufacturing systems and metrics, manage external partners, and recruit and develop engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 8 years of experience, or 15 years of advanced manufacturing engineering experience
- At least 3 years of engineering-team leadership experience
- Expertise in Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and advanced manufacturing
- Experience transitioning manufacturing processes to full production
- Experience developing manufacturing processes, tooling, systems, SOPs, and work instructions
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Knowledge of OSHA, ITAR, and hazardous or energetic-materials standards
- Eligibility for state and federal explosives licenses
- U.S. person status or eligibility for required export authorization

- Lead and develop manufacturing engineers
- Set technical direction for Design for Manufacturability and advanced manufacturing
- Lead transitions from development and pilot scale to production
- Develop manufacturing systems, tooling, processes, and work instructions
- Translate program requirements into manufacturing strategies
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvements
- Manage internal stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, and customer representatives
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop manufacturing engineers
