About the Role

You will build and own the acquisition function, defining M&A strategy and translating priorities into acquisition themes and target areas. You will source and evaluate acqui-hires, tuck-ins, and larger acquisitions; build relationships across the ecosystem; and maintain market intelligence on AI infrastructure, developer tools, and emerging technologies. You will lead transactions from evaluation through closing, including valuation, financial modeling, diligence, structuring, negotiations, decision materials, and integration planning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, venture capital, investment banking, or a related strategic role
  • Product and technological intuition
  • Experience leading technology transactions through signing and closing
  • Experience with valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, and negotiation
  • Experience researching markets, identifying companies, and building opportunity pipelines
  • Financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to synthesize product, technical, market, and financial information into recommendations
  • Relationship-building and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex cross-functional transaction workstreams

Responsibilities

  • Define M&A strategy and translate strategic priorities into acquisition themes and target areas
  • Identify acqui-hire, tuck-in, and large-scale acquisition opportunities
  • Build relationships with founders, investors, bankers, operators, and industry participants
  • Attend industry events to source M&A opportunities
  • Map relevant markets, competitors, technologies, and potential acquisition targets
  • Evaluate strategic fit, market position, technical differentiation, financial profile, and value
  • Assess build, buy, and partner alternatives and provide go/no-go recommendations
  • Lead transactions from initial evaluation through signing and closing
  • Lead valuation, financial modeling, transaction structuring, due diligence, and negotiations
  • Manage deal workplans, timelines, risk escalation, decision materials, and integration planning
