About the Role
You will lead the development and integration of flight-critical fuel systems from architecture through testing and flight operations. You will manage engineers and technicians working on fuel tanks, delivery systems, venting, pressurization, level sensing, and propulsion fluid systems. You will coordinate testing, investigations, supplier activities, and cross-functional integration while keeping technical execution on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 7–10+ years of experience developing aerospace fuel or fluid systems
- Understanding of thermodynamics fluid mechanics heat transfer and aerospace propulsion
- Understanding of compressible and incompressible flow systems and aerospace fluid dynamics
- Experience with fuel system integration testing and operational support
- Experience leading engineering teams or major subsystem development activities
- U.S. citizenship or ability to comply with ITAR requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead fuel system development from architecture through testing and flight operations
- Mentor fuel system engineers responsible for tanks pumps valves vent systems and propulsion hardware
- Drive system integration for maneuvering transient operation thermal effects and fault tolerance
- Guide thermodynamic and fluid-dynamic trade studies
- Coordinate testing instrumentation planning and performance validation
- Support failure investigations root-cause analysis and design iterations
- Align schedules technical execution and supplier activities with program goals
- Collaborate with propulsion airframe mission systems and manufacturing functions
