About the Role

You will manage mechanical design engineers, engineering priorities, and technical deliverables for modular buildings and power-distribution equipment. You will review designs, lead advanced modeling work, manage engineering changes, ensure compliance, and partner with manufacturing on producible designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience
• 1-2 years of engineering team leadership experience
• Expert SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM proficiency
• Knowledge of metals, fabrication materials, and manufacturing methods
• Knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and UL listings
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Participation in a drug and alcohol program

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop mechanical design engineers
• Assign engineering work based on expertise, availability, and production priorities
• Execute advanced mechanical design and 3D modeling work
• Review specifications, bills of materials, analysis, and assembly instructions
• Lead engineering change orders and lifecycle management
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and product-data systems
• Lead design-for-manufacturability reviews and resolve shop-floor design questions
• Drive cost-reduction strategies
