About the Role
You will lead customs compliance and trade operations across Southeast Asia. You will manage regulatory communications, import and export procedures, compliance audits, customs providers, duty optimization, and customs automation. You will monitor logistics performance, maintain accurate trade data and documentation, reconcile bonded inventory, lead improvement projects, and develop disruption contingency plans.
Requirements
- 8+ years of customs and trade compliance experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems, bonded logistics, and FTA operations
- Strong English and Mandarin communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trading, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and compliant movement of products and liaise with government authorities
- Design and document import and export standard operating procedures
- Establish and monitor KPIs to improve reliability and execution
- Implement trade-compliance policies and regulatory updates
- Lead internal audits, prepare for government inspections, and implement corrective action plans
- Manage logistics providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Manage duty optimization, bonded zones, and tariff mitigation strategies
- Coordinate customs automation initiatives with IT partners
- Monitor OTIF, lead time, freight cost, and service-level KPIs
- Maintain consistent import and export data and reconcile bonded inventory
- Lead continuous-improvement projects
- Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions, port congestion, and geopolitical risks
