About the Role

You will manage all-source investigators, drive investigative throughput, review target packages and legal-process returns, hire and develop team members, partner with engineering, legal, and external stakeholders, and provide operational leadership during disruption surges.

Requirements

  • Around 3+ years of team leadership experience
  • Experience recognizing and accelerating high performers
  • Experience addressing performance issues directly
  • Experience driving information to real-world outcomes
  • Experience producing or supervising work tested by DOJ, OFAC, or a court
  • Complex financial crime investigations experience
  • Network mapping ability
  • Current AI usage and understanding of human judgment in AI-assisted intelligence work
  • Working familiarity with subpoenas, warrants, preservation requests, and other legal processes
  • Strong written communication and stakeholder briefing skills
  • 15–25% travel availability
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain public trust if required

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 5–15+ all-source investigators
  • Conduct 1:1s, career-pathing, performance pulses, and growth feedback
  • Convert department priorities into investigator workload
  • Drive legal process, on-chain and off-chain data fusion, and targeting throughput
  • Clear blockers and balance surge windows with sustainable operations
  • Review target packages, attribution write-ups, and legal-process returns
  • Hire, onboard, and develop investigators
  • Build headcount cases when team growth or automation requires it
  • Partner with engineering on tooling and legal on investigative processes
  • Brief government partners, leadership, and stakeholders on case outcomes and team throughput
  • Lead alongside investigators during disruption surges without owning a caseload
