About the Role
You will lead, mentor, and coach machine learning researchers and engineers. You will scale technical hiring, guide cross-functional research projects, optimize reproducible research workflows, bridge theory and engineering, and communicate the research agenda internally and externally.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field such as computer science or mathematics
- 10+ years of machine learning or deep learning experience
- 5+ years of project and people leadership experience
- Experience leading machine learning or deep learning research projects
- Experience with foundation models
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving skills for ambiguous technical challenges
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach machine learning research scientists and engineers
- Drive technical hiring, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Guide cross-functional scientific and engineering projects
- Manage and optimize research workflows for rigorous and reproducible results
- Bridge theoretical concepts and advanced engineering
- Advocate for the research agenda internally and externally
