About the Role
You will manage inbound and outbound deliveries, with a focus on importing GPUs and critical electronic components into Malaysia. You will coordinate documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarders, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and government agencies. You will resolve shipping issues, maintain compliance records, monitor delivery performance, improve logistics processes, and support urgent shipments and new material introductions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, international trade, engineering, business administration, or a related field
- 1 to 5 years of experience in logistics, import/export, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or supply chain
- Hands-on experience with Malaysia import/export processes and customs clearance
- Understanding of Malaysian customs import/export procedures
- Knowledge of HS code classification, import permits, COO/Form E, customs declarations, and customs valuation
- Familiarity with air freight and sea freight processes
- Understanding of Incoterms
- Ability to speak and read Malay, English, and Mandarin
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end import and export processes for GPUs, ICs, electronic components, equipment, and critical materials
- Coordinate import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, airway bills or bills of lading, certificates of origin, HS codes, permits, and supporting documents
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely customs declaration and clearance
- Investigate and resolve customs clearance issues and document discrepancies
- Maintain records of import documentation and customs transactions
- Monitor shipments from supplier pickup through customs clearance and final delivery
- Coordinate urgent deliveries with planning, procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Identify shipment delays and implement recovery actions
- Manage day-to-day activities with freight forwarders, courier companies, and customs brokers
- Monitor forwarder performance and validate payment requests
- Ensure import and export compliance with Malaysian customs and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and improve import and export SOPs, checklists, and documentation requirements
- Conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions for customs and delivery problems
- Identify opportunities to reduce customs clearance and delivery lead times
- Support new product introductions, supplier setups, and production shortage recoveries
