About the Role
You will build and lead the legal function, drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial, technology, infrastructure, and financial agreements directly. You will manage regulatory compliance, coordinate external counsel and cross-border transactions, advise executives on corporate structure and governance, and create legal processes and templates for commercial and operational teams.
Requirements
- French-qualified lawyer or equivalent European bar qualification
- 6+ years of post-qualification experience
- Substantive experience in technology, infrastructure, or project finance
- Direct experience negotiating complex B2B technology or infrastructure contracts
- Working knowledge of GDPR and emerging AI regulation
- Fluency in French and English
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer MSAs, DPAs, hardware supply contracts, and financial partnership agreements
- Own compliance across the EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2, French law, and applicable defense and critical infrastructure regulations
- Manage external counsel across France, European jurisdictions, and the US
- Coordinate cross-border transactions and M&A
- Advise the executive team on corporate structuring, equity, and governance
- Build internal legal processes and templates for commercial and operations teams
