About the Role
You will support financing strategy and execution for North American projects. You will advise on financing structures, negotiate credit and customer documents, lead legal diligence, coordinate external counsel and financial institutions, secure approvals and drawdown conditions, and manage lender obligations after closing.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of relevant legal experience.
- JD and active license in at least one US state bar.
- Experience in project finance, real estate finance, or asset finance.
- Exposure to debt products.
- Ability to manage financing transactions through structuring, diligence, negotiation, and closing.
- Knowledge of AI tools, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Commercial acumen and sound judgment in transactional environments.
Responsibilities
- Support financing strategy and structuring for US projects.
- Advise on legal considerations affecting financing structures.
- Negotiate credit facility and ancillary documents.
- Support financing-focused customer contract structuring.
- Lead legal due diligence for US projects.
- Coordinate tax financing diligence with Treasury.
- Oversee external counsel and coordinate with banks and law firms.
- Drive transaction negotiations and execution.
- Oversee transaction authorizations and board approvals.
- Satisfy lender conditions precedent for drawdowns.
- Manage post-closing lender amendments and waivers.
