About the Role
Handle legal matters for JPYC's fintech business, focusing on funds settlement laws, crypto asset regulations, contracts, product legal reviews, AML/CFT compliance, corporate legal matters, and regulatory research.
Requirements
- Law degree or basic legal knowledge.
- Ability to draft, organize, and manage legal documents including contracts.
- Corporate legal experience preferred.
- Three or more years of corporate legal experience preferred.
- Experience with contract review and drafting preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in financial, fintech, funds settlement, crypto asset, or AML/CFT regulations preferred.
- English research, email, or contract review skills preferred.
- Attorney qualification preferred.
- Strong interest or practical experience in crypto assets, blockchain, DAOs, DeFi, or NFTs preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for stablecoin matters and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with funds settlement and financial regulations and build internal processes.
- Perform legal checks for new businesses and product launches.
- Draft, review, and negotiate service and partnership contracts.
- Develop and operate AML/CFT compliance programs.
- Provide legal support in collaboration with engineering, BizDev, and HR teams.
- Handle corporate legal matters including board and shareholder meeting support.
- Coordinate and direct external legal counsel.
- Research Web3, crypto asset, and stablecoin regulatory developments and share findings internally.
