About the Role

As the senior individual contributor on the Talent team, you will lead high-stakes technical searches, advise hiring managers and executives, improve recruiting systems and processes, mentor recruiters, and build market intelligence that guides hiring priorities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth, US-headquartered technology startups.
  • Track record of independently closing hard-to-fill and senior technical roles.
  • Ability to run multiple high-complexity searches simultaneously.
  • Experience mentoring, pairing with, or informally coaching others.
  • Strong analytical and first-principles approach to hiring strategy.
  • Ability to translate complex, cross-functional hiring problems into clear plans.
  • Operational strength with sourcing tools, dashboards, and process design.
  • Exceptional concise communication with executives, hiring managers, and candidates.
  • Strong ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, ambiguous, and high-priority technical searches.
  • Run multiple searches in parallel using clear hypotheses, market data, and next actions.
  • Set sourcing, evaluation, and closing standards for the recruiting function.
  • Support peers when search quality or timelines are at risk.
  • Advise hiring managers and executives on hiring strategy, market realities, and calibration.
  • Mentor and coach recruiters on sourcing, structured search design, and stakeholder management.
  • Improve recruiting systems, tools, dashboards, and processes.
  • Build compensation benchmarks, talent pool maps, and competitor intelligence.
  • Promote honest feedback and productive disagreement to improve recruiting practices.

Hiring Process

Within 72 hours, schedule intake, open the ATS position, post the description, design the interview process, and configure the interview plan. Within one week, conduct 5–10 recruiter screens and the first hiring-team calibration sync. Two weeks after initial interviews, analyze pass rates and conversions, share recommendations, and continue optimizing until the role is filled. Applied AI fluency is evaluated during interviews.
