About the Role
You will define and assess IT general control requirements for SOX-scoped systems. You will review infrastructure and system changes for control impact, build continuous monitoring and automated evidence collection, and guide remediation of deficiencies. You will translate between engineering designs and assurance requirements across SOX and related compliance frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience leading or contributing to an ITGC program through SOX 404 readiness or at a public company
- Knowledge of PCAOB AS 2201, COSO 2013, and external-auditor technology-control assessment
- Ability to read code and Terraform and follow CI/CD pipelines
- Programming skills in Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++
- Familiarity with developer platforms, release engineering, cloud infrastructure, or ERP and financial-system controls
- Ability to advise and challenge engineering while maintaining second-line independence
- Experience using LLMs for SOX assurance workflows
Responsibilities
- Define ITGC control requirements and acceptance criteria for SOX-scoped systems
- Set auditability, segregation-of-duties, change-control, logging, and evidence-retention requirements before go-live
- Review infrastructure, system, and agent-framework changes for SOX impact
- Own continuous control monitoring and automated evidence collection
- Drive ITGC deficiency root-cause analysis and remediation
- Assess the control impact of new products, entities, systems, and integrations
- Align SOX ITGC controls with SOC 2, ISO 27001/42001, and other frameworks
