About the Role

As a Lead Product Manager, you will work across Carta's platform to ensure the company's offerings remain market-leading and transformative. You'll drive strategy, prioritization, and product delivery, partnering closely with product designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ship impactful products. You'll dig deep into user problems to truly understand what drives them, and you'll move fluidly between big-picture product strategy and the granular details of solving specific technical issues. You'll be resourceful and scrappy, knowing when to invest in building versus validating a hypothesis through simpler means, and understanding that the best path forward isn't always through building new software.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in product management in a high-paced, agile software development environment, with a proven track record of shipping impactful products
  • Several years of experience building products at startups in cross-functional teams with product designers, engineers, and business partners
  • Empathy and drive to solve problems for users, with the ability to dig deep into their problems
  • Systems thinking and the ability to solve problems holistically
  • Ability to move between big-picture product strategy and detailed, in-the-weeds problem solving
  • Resourcefulness and scrappiness, knowing when to invest in building versus validating hypotheses with simpler approaches

Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy across the platform
  • Prioritize product initiatives
  • Deliver impactful products in collaboration with designers, engineers, and business partners
  • Understand user problems deeply to inform product decisions
  • Balance big-picture strategy with detailed problem-solving
  • Validate hypotheses using resourceful, scrappy approaches before committing to full builds
