About the Role

You will lead backend engineers, design and maintain scalable microservices, own architecture and infrastructure decisions, establish coding standards, collaborate on end-to-end solutions, improve observability and monitoring, support CI/CD and testing, and mentor engineers across the platform.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of backend development experience
  • 2+ years in a technical or team leadership role
  • Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or Go
  • Deep knowledge of APIs, microservices, and data-driven applications
  • Experience with AWS and container orchestration
  • Ability to lead engineering teams and mentor developers
  • Understanding of system architecture, SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and distributed systems
  • Understanding of clean code, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead backend and full-stack engineers on platform projects
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices
  • Own technical architecture and infrastructure decisions
  • Set coding standards and review code
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams on end-to-end solutions
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting
  • Support iteration through CI/CD, testing frameworks, and developer tooling
  • Mentor engineers
  • Track industry trends, tools, and technologies
