About the Role
Own the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem across multiple sites and environments, maintaining architectural integrity and security while automating configuration and access provisioning, establishing governance, supporting teams with complex platform issues, and guiding scalable platform growth.
Requirements
- Extensive experience coordinating Atlassian Enterprise Cloud.
- Experience as a lead or primary Atlassian platform owner.
- Strong Jira Automation, REST API, and scripting expertise.
- Experience implementing configuration as code for SaaS platforms.
- Experience automating project configuration and standardisation at scale.
- Understanding of identity-based access control and automated provisioning.
- Experience connecting Atlassian with Azure AD or a similar identity provider.
- Experience in audit-controlled or governance-heavy environments.
- Experience creating secure multi-tenant or cross-company collaboration environments.
- Understanding of data governance, security boundaries, and compliance.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Go, or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Atlassian certifications are desirable.
- Experience building internal self-service platforms is desirable.
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling and infrastructure as code is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain multiple Atlassian Cloud sites.
- Define and enforce Atlassian configuration and governance standards.
- Maintain configuration as code through source control, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate identity and access provisioning with Azure AD or an equivalent identity provider.
- Automate project provisioning, workflows, permissions, and scheme management.
- Develop self-service project setup capabilities.
- Maintain configuration patterns across Jira and Confluence.
- Securely separate internal and third-party collaboration environments.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.
- Provide enterprise-level support for complex Atlassian issues.
- Advise Project Managers and engineering teams on workflows.
- Coordinate identity and access integrations.
- Automate administrative processes with scripting and tooling.
- Build, mentor, and grow the Atlassian platform team.
- Drive platform improvement initiatives.
