About the Role
You will keep electronics laboratories safe, operational, and ready for engineering work. You will support test benches, equipment configuration, calibration, asset management, board modifications, cable work, ESD controls, and safe working practices. You will also develop operating procedures and help improve lab readiness.
Requirements
- Experience working in an electronics laboratory environment
- Understanding of electronic test equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of ESD prevention, health and safety, and laboratory working practices
- Experience repairing and modifying PCB assemblies to IPC-7711/21 and J-STD-001 standards
- Experience with cable and wire harness assemblies to drawings and IPC-620 standards
- Experience with IPC-A-610 inspection
- Legal right to work in the UK
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe and operational electronics laboratories
- Support facilities, equipment, procedures, and practical laboratory setups
- Support test benches and equipment configuration
- Perform calibration, asset management, board modifications, and cable work
- Maintain ESD controls and safe working practices
- Develop standard operating procedures
- Support installation, maintenance, repair, modification, documentation, tools, assets, and test equipment
- Improve laboratory readiness and mentor junior team members
