About the Role
You will build, integrate, validate, maintain, repair, and improve electrical test systems for component- and system-level hardware testing. You will troubleshoot and rework PCBAs and harnesses, design interface electronics and fixtures, support production issues, maintain equipment readiness, document corrective actions, and mentor technicians and engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on electrical experience in aerospace, manufacturing, test, electronics, or a similarly rigorous hardware environment
- Expertise in benchtop electrical testing, PCBA troubleshooting, and root-cause isolation
- Advanced experience with PCBA and harness assembly, modification, and rework
- Ability to read, create, and review schematics, wiring diagrams, pinouts, assembly drawings, bills of material, and test procedures
- Experience designing and maintaining electrical test equipment, interface electronics, harnesses, or production fixtures
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power distribution, grounding, shielding, communications interfaces, and electrical safety
- Ability to preserve safety, quality, traceability, and configuration control while resolving urgent issues
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required by the program
Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, validate, maintain, and repair electrical test systems
- Perform benchtop PCBA testing and advanced electrical troubleshooting
- Perform PCBA, cable, harness, connector, and electromechanical rework
- Design and release interface boards, PCBs, harnesses, breakout assemblies, adapters, and electrical test fixtures
- Select electrical components and document pinouts, bills of material, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Support equipment checkout, calibration, preventive maintenance, configuration control, spares, and lifecycle issues
- Respond to production and test-floor issues and implement durable corrective actions
- Partner in design reviews and advocate for testability, serviceability, fault isolation, and rework
- Create and improve work instructions, checkout procedures, troubleshooting guides, inspection criteria, and safe-work practices
- Mentor technicians and engineers and lead difficult builds and repairs
