You will develop reusable test platforms, establish engineering and safety standards, guide complex equipment through deployment and sustainment, improve aircraft testability, investigate failures, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience developing complex electrical hardware, automated test equipment, or multidisciplinary verification systems
  • Experience leading multiple hardware development cycles from ambiguous requirements through sustained use
  • Expertise in relevant electrical engineering domains
  • Ability to architect systems spanning electronics, instruments, harnessing, embedded control, automation software, mechanical equipment, and facility interfaces
  • Knowledge of requirements decomposition, interface control, verification planning, configuration management, acceptance testing, and technical documentation
  • Experience establishing technical standards or reusable platforms
  • Experience resolving complex cross-domain failures through root-cause analysis and corrective action
  • Technical communication and mentoring experience

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for electrical test equipment
  • Identify verification risks and convert them into prioritized investments and development plans
  • Define common architectures for test racks, instrumentation, automation, diagnostics, and operator interfaces
  • Lead complex test-equipment programs from requirements through sustainment
  • Set engineering standards for schematics, PCB and harness design, calibration, documentation, and release readiness
  • Establish safety expectations for energized test equipment
  • Lead architecture, design, and readiness reviews
  • Define testable requirements, electrical interfaces, observability, fault isolation, and verification approaches
  • Develop equipment reliability, maintainability, calibration, obsolescence, and recovery strategies
  • Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Direct vendors, integrators, technicians, and partner teams
