About the Role
You will own end-to-end KYC reviews and onboarding for retail clients, focusing on higher-risk and exception cases. You will resolve complex client queries and complaints, identify process gaps, support regulatory updates, escalate system issues, improve onboarding controls, and train or mentor junior colleagues.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience performing KYC or AML activities
- Understanding of end-to-end KYC and retail client onboarding processes
- Risk awareness covering operational compliance and reputational risks
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with AML and KYC regulations and industry guidelines
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Experience working with an internationally regulated retail client base
- Experience handling client queries and resolving complaints through at least one communication channel
- Experience training coaching or mentoring junior team members is desirable
- Exposure to process improvement quality assurance or audit work is desirable
- Experience partnering with internal or external audit teams is desirable
- Experience using AI tools in day-to-day work is desirable
Responsibilities
- Review and onboard retail client accounts end to end
- Handle complex higher-risk and exception cases
- Resolve client queries and complaints related to onboarding and KYC
- Identify process gaps and recommend risk-reduction measures
- Train and mentor KYC Associates
- Monitor regulatory and AML developments and update procedures
- Escalate system and process issues to the team lead
- Support continuous improvement of onboarding processes and controls
