About the Role

Join Carta's North America Contracts team within Carta Law, working alongside lawyers, senior paralegals, and embedded AI agents on investor onboarding, transaction KYC, and high-volume legal work. The role offers opportunities to rotate across or specialize in practice areas, build legal expertise, take ownership of client accounts, and progress toward qualification via the SQE route.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent preferred; prior exposure to NDAs or KYC is a plus but not required
  • Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in legal practice
  • Strong organization and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently when needed
  • Effective collaborator and team player

Responsibilities

  • Support lawyers with first-round markups of investment-related NDAs and commercial contracts
  • Manage document lifecycles, track deadlines, communicate with counterparties, and assist with execution
  • Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals to deliver high-quality client service across fast-moving, high-volume matters
  • Build commercial and legal expertise, take ownership of client accounts, and progress toward qualification via the SQE route
