About the Role
You will design electro-mechanical assemblies, robotic payloads, and actuators. You will build and evaluate prototypes, integrate PCBAs into mechanical structures, test robotic hardware, create hardware documentation, and improve design standards through design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Robotics, Automotive, Aerospace, or a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of industry or research experience.
- Experience with CAD software for mechanical design.
- Knowledge of actuators, motors, materials, design for manufacturing, power transmission, mechanisms, and manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping technologies.
- Problem-solving, debugging, and hardware optimization skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electro-mechanical assemblies, robotic payloads, and actuators.
- Build prototypes to evaluate functionality and performance.
- Integrate PCBAs into mechanical structures with electronics engineers.
- Test and evaluate robotic hardware for reliability, durability, and safety.
- Create hardware specifications, assembly instructions, testing protocols, guidelines, and best practices.
- Improve design standards and processes through design reviews.
