About the Role
The IT Operations Specialist serves as the primary contact for IT helpdesk requests, supports staff, manages onboarding and offboarding with HR and Security, deploys devices and software, administers MDM systems, maintains IT asset inventory, secures endpoints, trains staff, and assists with change management and procurement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
- Deep expertise in Linux, macOS, and Windows system administration
- Experience with device management, patching, and operational support
- Experience with automation workflows, SSO configurations, and scalable onboarding
- Good scripting skills and an automation mindset
- Experience managing enterprise SaaS platforms
- Experience with cloud-centric environments and cybersecurity
- Experience with traditional on-premises LAN/WAN environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to cover Mountain or Pacific time zones
- Availability for on-call rotations and after-hours responses
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to person for IT helpdesk requests
- Diagnose and provide IT support for staff
- Manage onboarding and offboarding activities with HR and Security
- Set up and deploy laptops, devices, software, and hardware
- Assist with shipping and receiving hardware assets
- Manage MDM systems, including BYOD
- Maintain the firm's IT asset inventory
- Manage and secure endpoint devices
- Provide IT-related training to staff
- Assist with change management and procurement activities
