About the Role
You will erect structural steel and install miscellaneous metals, pipe racks, equipment supports, and access systems. You will rig and set steel, bolt, torque, weld, read construction drawings, coordinate with trade crews, follow safety requirements, and support inspections and turnover.
Requirements
- 3+ years of ironworking experience or equivalent military structural or rigging experience
- Ability to read structural and erection drawings and work to AISC connection details
- Proficiency with structural bolt-up, cutting, aerial lifts, ladders, and material-handling equipment
- Willingness to work at heights, outdoors, and on changing construction sites
- Current OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training
- Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during critical construction windows
- Ability to travel extensively and remain onsite during peak construction phases
Responsibilities
- Erect structural steel for buildings, plants, substations, and cooling yards
- Install stairs, ladders, platforms, catwalks, grating, handrails, embeds, and equipment frames
- Fabricate and install pipe racks, mezzanines, and support steel
- Rig, hoist, and set structural members and equipment-support steel
- Bolt, torque, weld, and plumb connections to drawings and standards
- Read structural, erection, and shop drawings
- Coordinate steel installation with civil, mechanical, and electrical crews
- Follow fall protection, crane, rigging, hot-work, LOTO, PPE, and permit rules
- Support inspection, punch-list, and turnover work
