About the Role
You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission laboratory equipment and utility systems. You will manage assets and inventory, support automation and controls integration, fabricate hardware, coordinate vendors and deliveries, maintain documentation, and carry out work safely using appropriate PPE.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, chemical processing, pilot plant, industrial maintenance, or a related environment
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Technical degree, military technical training, trade apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
Responsibilities
- Execute preventative-maintenance programs using MaintainX CMMS
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment
- Coordinate equipment-vendor service visits and maintenance activities
- Maintain asset records, equipment documentation, and performance metrics
- Maintain gas, vacuum, cooling-water, exhaust, detection, and laboratory utility systems
- Build and modify gas and fluid-handling systems from P&IDs and engineering drawings
- Install and commission laboratory equipment and supporting infrastructure
- Support controls and automation equipment integration
- Fabricate fixtures, brackets, guards, adapters, and experimental hardware
- Maintain inventories of spare parts, consumables, PPE, and laboratory supplies
- Receive and organize equipment, chemicals, gases, and supplies
- Participate in safety inspections and maintain safe workspaces
