About the Role
You will read blueprints and work orders to fabricate precision metal components and produce high-quality welds. You will set up welding equipment, cut and shape materials, inspect finished work, maintain production records and equipment, follow safety standards, and collaborate on project requirements and process improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of welding or fabrication experience, or completion of an accredited welding trade program with demonstrated hands-on proficiency
- Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Working knowledge of metal properties and fabrication techniques
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and common shop machinery
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 75 pounds
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Set up and operate MIG, TIG, and Stick/SMAW welding equipment
- Cut, shape, fit, and fabricate metal parts from raw materials
- Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain production records and documentation
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely
- Follow OSHA and site-specific safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members on project requirements and continuous improvement
