About the Role
You will build and lead a global incident-command function. You will recruit and coach commanders, establish response processes and KPIs, coordinate incident communications and reviews, and develop AI automation for incident operations.
Requirements
- Experience standing up an incident-command or major-incident function
- 5+ years in production engineering, SRE, or technical operations with high-severity incident command
- Experience leading a distributed team across time zones and running a 24x7 rotation
- Experience building reliability metrics
- Ability to manage scope during outages
- Process-documentation, incident-bridge, and executive-briefing skills
- Understanding of FinTech and API-driven financial platforms
- Experience using AI and agentic automation to reduce toil
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a 24x7 incident-command function
- Recruit, certify, coach, and schedule Incident Commanders
- Build follow-the-sun rotations and handoff processes
- Drive severity-model, escalation-path, and service-ownership maturity
- Coordinate incident bridges and communications workflows
- Run retrospectives and publish organizational learnings
- Define and report incident response and mitigation KPIs
- Document, version, and deploy operational processes
- Own the roadmap for AI workflows and agents in incident operations
