About the Role
You will command Safeguards incidents from declaration through closure, coordinate cross-functional responders, maintain incident records, and manage on-call escalations. You will create runbooks, lead reviews, track follow-up actions, and improve the incident response program through automation and metrics.
Requirements
- Experience managing incidents or urgent escalations
- Experience handling product or platform abuse incidents
- Ability to make decisions under time pressure
- Ability to write accurate executive-ready updates
- Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience improving operational processes
- Willingness to perform queue work
- Availability for rotating after-hours and weekend coverage
Responsibilities
- Serve as incident commander from declaration through closure
- Assess incident severity and coordinate cross-functional responders
- Maintain shared incident facts and provide regular updates
- Coordinate legal, communications, policy, and external notifications
- Run post-incident reviews and track action items through closure
- Oversee the Safeguards Enforcement on-call queue
- Triage and route urgent requests and escalations
- Participate in after-hours and weekend incident coverage
- Improve incident response processes, automation, and metrics
- Draft and maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Define decision rules and test automation with engineers
- Maintain incident records and program metrics
