About the Role
You will own the enablement strategy that helps developers and application teams adopt infrastructure and operations products. You will design curricula, run hands-on in-person workshops, create technical learning materials, support cloud migrations, build enablement communities, measure capability and adoption, and use feedback and data to improve programmes and content.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in learning, enablement or engineering capability development
- Experience in infrastructure, cloud or platform engineering contexts
- Experience designing and delivering technical enablement programmes for developers and application teams
- Demonstrated measurable adoption and migration outcomes
- Experience running in-person, hands-on workshops with engineering audiences
- Background working within or alongside platform, DevOps, SRE or cloud engineering teams
- Technical depth to translate complex concepts into accessible guidance
- Experience working in an advisory or embedded capacity alongside application teams
- Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure concepts
- Working familiarity with CI/CD, observability, infrastructure as code and security fundamentals
- Expertise in instructional design, curriculum development and adult learning principles
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to produce technical documentation and developer-facing learning materials
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills
- Ability to run hands-on in-person SME workshops
- Analytical ability to assess enablement effectiveness
- Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Responsibilities
- Define and own the developer enablement strategy
- Design a persona-based curriculum covering AWS, GitLab, observability, performance engineering and Kong API
- Build enablement pathways for cloud migrations
- Tie enablement interventions to adoption of infrastructure and operations standards
- Design and deliver in-person SME-led workshops
- Coordinate platform SMEs during live migration and adoption challenges
- Surface adoption blockers, skills gaps and platform friction
- Track workshop impact on migration velocity and adoption milestones
- Produce and maintain developer-facing guides, runbooks, worked examples and self-service modules
- Translate technical capabilities into actionable content
- Review enablement content regularly
- Develop assessment and validation mechanisms
- Partner with the Platform Enablement team
- Design and run onboarding programmes for application teams
- Identify capability gaps and provide targeted SME workshops
- Advise application team leads on development needs
- Build a developer enablement community
- Facilitate workshops, lunch-and-learn sessions and learning events
- Engage external specialists, vendors and learning networks
- Champion documentation and adoption of the Engineers Handbook
- Define and track enablement effectiveness metrics
- Report programme performance to senior stakeholders
- Create dashboards for capability uplift, adoption progress and workshops
- Use engagement, support and migration data to evolve the enablement strategy
- Establish feedback loops with application teams
- Collaborate with platform teams, engineering leads and external partners
- Drive continuous improvement in enablement practice
- Use AI to create repeatable content and track capability patterns
