About the Role

You will build scalable data pipelines and workflows, ingest and transform high-volume data from MySQL and Kafka sources, maintain Redshift data models, optimize SQL, support migration to AWS, and embed quality, reliability, observability, and security across a mission-critical payments data platform.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a related role
  • Strong SQL expertise, including query optimization, complex transformations, and data modelling
  • Solid Python skills for data engineering and pipeline development
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, Lambda, Glue, and S3
  • Experience with Airflow for orchestration
  • Familiarity with dbt for transformation and modelling
  • Collaborative mindset

  • Critical thinking
  • Willingness to take ownership and initiative
  • Experience contributing to large-scale cloud migration initiatives is a plus
  • Knowledge of real-time data streaming using Kafka is a plus
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code is a plus
  • Interest in AI/ML use cases within modern data ecosystems is a plus
  • Understanding of payments or fintech data challenges is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and workflows
  • Ingest, transform, and deliver high-volume data from MySQL databases and real-time Kafka streams
  • Design and maintain performant Redshift data models
  • Optimize SQL queries for analytics and reporting workloads
  • Contribute to cloud migration and evolve the data architecture
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Embed data quality, reliability, observability, and security across the data platform
  • Support and enhance data solutions in a mission-critical payments environment
  • Continuously learn and share knowledge
