About the Role
You will supervise facilities technicians who inspect, test, maintain, and repair campus mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed-air, and related systems. You will schedule work, deliver site-improvement projects, oversee vendors and budgets, enforce safety procedures, maintain trade records, and coach technicians to improve performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of facilities management experience
Responsibilities
- Lead technicians performing inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of campus systems
- Direct plumbing, compressed-air, electrical, and HVAC facility technicians
- Schedule daily work and prioritize assignments
- Develop and execute site-improvement projects
- Observe contractor work and enforce safety procedures
- Maintain required trade records
- Understand and support chilled-water systems, boilers, VFDs, pumps, PLCs, condensers, split systems, air compressors, and dust collectors
- Communicate daily activities, projects, morale, and concerns to the manager
- Manage vendor and contractor finances and maintain accounts
- Coach technicians to improve performance and effectiveness
