About the Role
You will champion a zero-harm culture at the Glomfjord site. You will conduct inspections and audits, manage compliance and incident reporting, support root-cause analysis and corrective actions, deliver safety training, oversee environmental monitoring, and coordinate with site personnel, contractors, and regulators.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HSE, safety-officer, or health-and-safety-management experience.
- Heavy-industrial environment experience.
- Occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related technical qualification.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, environmental law, and risk assessment.
- Digital EHS management-system experience.
- Fluent Norwegian and functional English.
- Willingness to work on-site in Glomfjord.
- Conflict-resolution and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Champion and enforce a zero-harm safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and ISO requirements.
- Conduct safety walks, hazard identification, and HSE audits.
- Remediate non-compliant solutions and physical risks.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, deviations, and environmental events.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain records in the EcoOnline EHS management system.
- Deliver site inductions, LOTO governance, and emergency-response training.
- Oversee waste management, energy metrics, and sustainable site operations.
- Support occasional travel to other locations, project sites, training, audits, or meetings.
