About the Role
You will champion health, safety, and environmental performance across data center construction projects. You will assess and mitigate risks, implement HSE procedures, monitor compliance, engage contractors and regulators, support audits, lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, follow up on corrective actions, coordinate training, and maintain worksite documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience in data center construction, oil and gas, commercial construction, heavy civil, or mission-critical operations preferred
- Deep technical knowledge of federal and state HSE rules and regulations
- Direct experience implementing HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to legally work and reside in the United States without sponsorship
- Expertise in steel erection, electrical and mechanical safety, or earthwork is a plus
- Certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHST are a plus
Responsibilities
- Partner with safety leadership to understand operational risks and develop action plans
- Cultivate HSE awareness and safety culture through communication and training
- Assess worker risks and recommend mitigation measures
- Develop and implement HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists
- Monitor regulatory and internal compliance
- Report HSE objectives and key metrics
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Plan and support compliance audits and assessments
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Monitor corrective actions, reports, and audit findings
- Coordinate HSE training
- Integrate new HSE requirements into existing systems and practices
- Maintain HSE documentation at worksites
- Provide HSE support to operational groups and projects
