About the Role
You lead the engineering organization, develop engineering talent, prioritize work, govern production releases, review architecture and code, and oversee infrastructure, security, compliance, and access controls across a polyglot backend and cloud platform.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Experience in a regulated fintech, digital asset, payments, or trading platform environment
- Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
- Experience with Go or Python
- Experience reviewing Go, Python, and Rust code
- Understanding of distributed systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with ClickHouse
- Experience with Kafka, NATS, and gRPC
- Experience with UAT and staging workflows
- Experience with CI/CD testing gates and release governance
- Familiarity with MAS Technology Risk Management, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent security frameworks
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering organization
- Build a high-trust engineering environment
- Mentor and promote engineering talent
- Prioritize work and balance commercial urgency against technical debt
- Approve production releases
- Enforce UAT, peer review, CI/CD, and compliance release gates
- Enforce dual authorization controls for deployments, migrations, and hotfixes
- Oversee isolated UAT and staging environments
- Review architecture for security, scalability, and compliance
- Enforce code review, testing coverage, and static analysis standards
- Co-own platform resilience, cloud standards, orchestration, and disaster recovery
- Lead technical regulatory audits and security assessments
- Enforce privileged access management and role-based access control
