About the Role
You will own and resolve user-reported technical problems for scientific applications and libraries. You will compile and debug applications, identify system-level issues, install software, develop system tests, maintain user documentation, and deliver training and outreach materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, master’s degree and 4+ years of related experience, or a PhD in computer science or a related field
- Experience with multiple programming languages
- Fortran, C, C++, Perl, Python, or shell scripting in Linux or Unix
- Experience with MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, HIP, Kokkos, or Raja
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for scientific applications, libraries, and users
- Compile and debug science and engineering applications
- Identify and resolve system-level bugs
- Work with vendors to resolve issues and implement changes
- Install third-party software and document its use
- Develop and implement system tests for user workloads
- Maintain system information, documentation, and reference materials
- Develop and deliver user training and outreach materials
- Respond to administrative questions
- Implement requested special projects
