About the Role

You will lead Talent, People Operations, and HR Business Partnering. You will manage practitioners, own headcount planning and leadership recruiting, improve hiring systems and sourcing, oversee employee-lifecycle operations, maintain people programs, support compliance, and advise managers on organizational and employee matters.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in talent, recruiting, and people roles
  • Experience running a people function at high-growth technology startups
  • Experience managing Talent and People teams across recruitment and People Operations or HR
  • Experience with recruiting, compensation bands, employee relations, and performance management
  • Ability to work from the Berkeley office at least 2 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage recruiters, People Operations, and HR practitioners
  • Set goals, priorities, and capacity plans across recruitment and People Operations
  • Coach, develop, and performance-manage team members
  • Own organizational headcount planning
  • Create the operating rhythm for the team
  • Build and improve hiring processes
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for key leadership roles
  • Build scalable sourcing channels and employer branding
  • Track hiring metrics and adjust strategy
  • Oversee employee lifecycle operations, HRIS administration, benefits administration, and compliance
  • Manage performance review, compensation banding, leveling, and promotion infrastructure
  • Ensure employment-law compliance across jurisdictions
  • Advise managers and leadership on organizational design, performance management, and employee relations
  • Handle employee relations issues
